2016 NAGA PHILADELPHIA GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP
The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) is the world’s largest mixed grappling tournament circuit with over 400,000 competitors worldwide. On Saturday, February 6, 2016, NAGA is back in the Philadelphia, PAarea for the NAGA Phildelphia Grappling Championship No-Gi & Gi tournament. Come as an individual or as a team to compete. You do not have to live in Pennsylvania (or New Jersey) or be on a team to participate in this event. Pre-registration closes at midnight, January 30, 2016.

DOWNLOAD EVENT PACKAGE

The event package includes details about the event in an easy to view (or printout) PDF format. The package contains: Travel information, the breakdown of divisions (age, weight, and skill level), a summary of the rules and point system, and more.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Competitors have two options when registering: pre-register by the listed deadline, or register at the event.

PRE-REGISTER ONLINE
You can PRE-REGISTER ONLINE HERE. The pre-registration cost is $85 for the first division. Additional divisions are $20 each. If you pre-register, please bring your order number with you to the event.

REGISTER AT THE EVENT
For those who decide to register at the event, The registration cost is $100 for the first division. Additional divisions are $20 each. You can register on Friday night during the designated timeframe (please consult the event schedule for this timeframe), or on Saturday. Any adults registering on Saturday must be registered and weighed-in by 12:00 PM. Registration will be cutoff at this time.

FAMILY RATES
The pre-registration family rates are: for 2 family members ($80 per competitor for 2 divisions each), 3 family members ($70 per competitor for 2 divisions each), and 4+ family members ($60 per competitor for 2 divisions each). The family rate goes up $20 per competitor when registering at the event.

IMPROVEMENTS AND CHANGES FOR 2016
NAGA is no longer accepting mail in registrations. Competitors will need to either pre-register or register at the event. Credit card and cash are accepted at the event.
Those adults registering the day of the event must be registered and weighed-in by 12:00 PM. If you pre-register or register the day/night before, you can arrive up until your division is called. Some events have alternate schedules. Please always check the event schedule (click the red SCHEDULE tab above)
Once a competitor accepts their weight and their registration card is turned in to bracketing, the weight can no longer be changed.
Children & Teen competitors are guaranteed a minimum of two matches per tournament. If they are competing in gi and no-gi that is considered two divisions.
‘Advanced’ skill level for Children and Teens, for those with 2-3 years of experience.
Earlier division start times. Children & Teens must be registered and weighed in by 9:00 AM (for most events. As always, check the event schedule for times related to that event).

CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS AWARDED
NAGA awards championship belts to all Children, Teen, Adult, Masters, Directors and Executive, Expert Division champions (Limit 1 belt per competitor per event). This award is unrivaled in quality and appearance.

SAMURAI SWORDS TO CHILDREN & TEENS WINNERS
NAGA will be awarding custom engraved SAMURAI SWORDS to all non-expert Children & Teen 1st place winners (Limit 1 per competitor per event). Custom medals will be awarded to all 2nd & 3rd place winners along with non-expert Adult division winners. Adult competitors who place 1st and win a gold medal will have the opportunity to obtain a samurai sword at the NAGA T-shirt booth for a nominal fee. All children (13 and under) who do not place 1st through 3rd will take home an award.

TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CUPS AWARDED
NAGA awards customized championship cups to the tournament team champions. A cup can be won in: Adult Overall, Adult No-Gi, Adult Gi, and Children & Teens Overall. Please make sure your team registers under the same team name. Do not miss this opportunity to showcase the talent that your team possesses.

CHAMPION GI PATCH FREE T-SHIRT

All Children, Teens & Adults who place 1st in any of our Gi Divisions (White Belt through Black Belt) will receive a NAGA Champion Gi patch.

All competitors will receive a FREE NAGA Competition T-Shirt whether you pre-register or not. The shirts can be picked up when you arrive at the event.

GET YOUR GRAPPLING GEAR AT THE EVENT
NAGA is bringing a truckload of grappling gear (Board shorts, gi bags, rash guards, t-shirts, hats, gi hoodies, patches, skull caps, stickers, dog tags, etc.) in children and adults sizes, for males and females. Check out the huge selection of gear and apparel at the NAGA event.
